Sixth District Shuffles …. again?
“Forsyth GOP chairman Nathan Tabor says he deliberately took his time on deciding whether to run against incumbent U.S. Rep. Howard Coble, R-N.C., looking at the race from every angle and collecting advice.
But state officials said Tabor was just a little too late today when he dashed into a room at the N.C. Board of Elections office in Raleigh to file to run for the 6th Congressional District that Coble represents. Filing closed at noon today.
Tabor, who leads the county’s Republican Party, disputes that he was too late, and said a receptionist told him he was just in time to file. Tabor plans an appeal.
… Bartlett said he told Tabor how to go about appealing his decision, a matter that will be heard March 6.”

Physician Bruce Blackmon filed Tuesday at the State Board of Elections to become a candidate in the Democratic primary.
Sixth District Shuffle
A few days ago, James Allen announced on his Facebook page:
“After numerous request from the people, and republicans in the state, I have decided it is in the best interest of our Country and our party to run for US Congress in the fourth district NC. I am very familiar with the district as I worked throughout the area for twenty years, I know so many people and have shared in their hopes and dreams. We are running to win and hope to have an additional House seat for our conservative values. The seat although with vast changes to its area has been filled by a liberal spending democrat for some time. Please support us as we take this seat back to and for the people. Jim”
Today, Bill Flynn announced his candidacy for the Sixth district GOP nomination at a press conference in Greensboro. More details to come!!
