Rep. Shuler (NC11) on the President’s Proposed Budget for FY 2012

February 17, 2011 by NC Tea Party Staff 1 Comment

U.S. Representative Heath Shuler released the following statement [Monday] regarding the President’s proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2012.

“Today’s budget proposal from President Obama is just the first step on the long road of drafting a practical budget for our nation that invests in our future, without bankrupting it. It now falls to Congress to work together to find the way forward. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Budget Committee, both Democrats and Republicans, to review the President’s proposals, cut spending to make government more efficient, balance our nation’s budget, and begin reducing the debt that will soon paralyze our economy. We will not be able to do any of those things, however, if we cling to narrow partisan agendas. The American people expect us to work together, and we must work together for future generations.”

Hmmmm…… narrow partisan agendas; he must mean the democrat spend/spend/spend/debt/debt/debt way of doing things for the past 60+ years. I also don’t believe for a second that the “American People” expect congress to “work together” – they’ve done that for the past 60+ years as well and you can see what that got us……… Sorry Heath, luvya, but to do this right, govt must CUT SPENDING, not just make govt more “efficient”, if that wasn’t vague enough term to throw out
