The census is held this year. The NC General Assembly will redistrict itself and NC’s Congressional districts are based on the results of the census. It is possible that NC could add a 14th congressional district based on these new population figures. The question is- do we want the vestiges of the Jim Black, Mike Easley corrupt machine drawing those districts?
