I′m Jeff Gerber, and I am running for the North Carolina House of Representatives in State House District 69. We need a strong voice in Raleigh, and I believe I can be that voice.
I care deeply about our state and I believe I can make a better impact for the citizens of Union County and all of North Carolina. I respect Mr. Dean Arp but I feel it is time for principled and effective leadership to return to North Carolina and from working in Union County for the past twenty years, I understand what Union County and North Carolina needs in the trying times ahead.
As a leader of grassroots movements throughout the state, my efforts have helped pass Jessica′s Law and most recently the Unborn Victims of Violence Law. I am pro-life and committed to protecting those who cannot protect themselves. However, I′m more than a social and fiscal conservative. I am a proponent of agricultural and property rights and my work as a member of Union County′s planning board has been to ensure all citizens have their property protected.
Our economy is in a sad state of affairs and our leadership in Raleigh needs dependable conservatives. It′s time to change our education system and eliminate bureaucrats in Raleigh and quit giving raises to central administration bureaucrats who do not educate one child.
I believe that my ideas, energy and convictions will serve Union County and North Carolina alike well. Republicans cannot do this alone. We must be willing to work with all of our colleagues, especially the opposing party, putting partisan politics aside for the greater good of our state. The people of District 69 deserve a fresh voice who will be there spokesman in Raleigh and not another politician. I look forward to meeting with my friends and neighbors as we work to become the next representative of District 69.
