Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Friday that the media has the responsibility to not give equal time or credence to the Tea Party’s views:
SEN. JOHN KERRY: “And I have to tell you, I say this to you politely. The media in America has a bigger responsibility than it’s exercising today. The media has got to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual.”
“It doesn’t deserve the same credit as a legitimate idea about what you do. And the problem is everything is put into this tit-for-tat equal battle and America is losing any sense of what’s real, of who’s accountable, of who is not accountable, of who’s real, who isn’t, who’s serious, who isn’t?”

It always amazes me how the tea party supporters are called nuts and crazy by the liberals and the media. Crazy because the Constitution is seen as important document. Nuts because a responsible government is needed. The ones that blast these ideas are either well indoctrinated socialists or just simple robots of the liberal academia that has infested our education system. The average public educated American today has no grasp of history whatsoever. This is one of Marx most important elements. Distort the education system. Well we have been doing allowing that for the past 30 years. Look where it got us. The Tea Party is a great thing. It is just 30 years or so too late. I just realized also that the liberals want to bash the Constitution and yet one of their favorites if alive today would probably be a Tea Party member. If I remember my history right John Kennedy was a strong supporter of the Constitution and the things that made this country great.

I was born and raised in Mass and familiar with John Kerry. This sort of comment is typical of a Mass liberal. Free speech as long as you agree with him. If you disagree with him then you are so stupid you should be ignored.

Christopher,
I don’t know what country you are originally from, but your socialist ideals don’t work here. We currently have open borders, you are more than welcome to move out of the country. However, in the meantime enjoy your current freedoms.

So, I guess that Christopher and John Kerry don’t believe in the 1st Amendment. Look Christopher, I am sick and damned tired of people like you. If you knew anything about tea partiers, other than what the media has told you would realize that our views are based in the Constitution of the United States. Nonsensical ideology? I will tell you this, had the Senate passed Cut, Cap and Balance our credit rating would likely still be AAA. Do me a favor, open your mind, learn who we are, not what you have been told we are and then maybe you will learn something. Until then, grow up.
Christopher says
It’s about time someone said it! We need to stop legitimizing these teabaggers and their nonsensical ideology!
Bonnie says
Christopher,
What part is nonsense? You have just proved that when you have no point to make you have to fall back to name calling. I’ll bet you were a debate champion in high school.

Praise God that these “teabaggers” have stimulated the debt debate. The Obama team have spent at a rate 4 times that of Bush (And he was too big a spender too). I hope those folks who think we should spend ourselves out of this galaxy don’t have children because when they become adults, they will most certainly ask this generation why, oh why, did we allow this great nation to meet its demise. Christopher, wake up. Bonnie, you’re right. When all else fails, regress to name-calling.
