Several bills proposed to loosen gun laws this year; but the main piece of gun legislation cleared the House on Thursday and is headed to the governor.

It would allow state lawmakers and other legislative employees to leave their guns locked in their cars while at the legislative building, and expands the places where people with permits to carry concealed handguns can bring their weapons.

While upfront this may sound good. However, there are issues far greater than gun rights here. First, the expansion of places where you could carry concealed. Most people are responsible and could do this with no problem. But the truth is we live in age dominated by idiots. I am not sure that allowing some “bubba” redneck to carry his gun around is a good thing. The waffle house will become the Long Branch. I really doubt the bill will be signed by the Governor anyway. As with most NC Governors she has no clue. But at least she has proven to be a total lying crook like Tax Hike MIke the scam artist was.

Would like to see the final bill.
