Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina (PEFNC) will host a public Town Hall Forum, in Raleigh, to discuss the political realities and potential solutions for transforming K-12 education in North Carolina.
Nearly 2,000 people have attended our screenings of the critically acclaimed documentary Waiting for “Superman.” Now Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina (PEFNC) is taking the film’s message from the big screen and into the public sphere.
With Dr. Howard Fuller, who is featured in the film and is the Director of the Institute for the Transformation of Learning at Marquette University, and Peter Groff, President of the Nationall Alliance for Public Charter Schools, the forum will explore North Carolina’s current educational crisis and examine reform-oriented solutions.
Other leaders at the forum will include elected policy makers, educators, public school officials, and nontraditional school leaders. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and state concerns about local and statewide K-12 educational issues.
